Coil installation and liquid refill
The installation of the coils is quite simple, let’s see how to do it together:
- Remove the pod by pushing upwards.
- Initialization of the resistances, moistening the holes well with our favorite liquid.
- Insert one of the two coils supplied in the space provided.
- Reassemble with the box.
A little less simple is the insertion of the liquid, which takes place through a small side door. You must have removed the pod from the base to be able to open it. Since the rubber is very small, it is difficult to grip it, making the operation rather uncomfortable. It also needs a bottle with a very thin tip to refill.
The display
The 0.96-inch 6-color display comes with an attractive and very intuitive design:
- Canonicals 5 Click on the fire button to turn the mod on / off
- In case of prolonged shooting beyond 8 seconds, the delivery stops
- 3 clicks on the fire button to lock / unlock the Mod
- To lock / unlock the Wattage press the Up and Down buttons together
- To reset the number of puffs, press the Down and Fire buttons together
- Press the Up and Fire buttons together to change theme colors.
Verdict
The quality of the materials used, its captivating and original design, the robustness and impact resistance, the incredible capacity and the good aromatic yield, combined with a fairly satisfactory battery life and an affordable cost ($22.50), make the Smok Alike a pod suitable for all vapers. With the 0.4 ohm RPM coil already at 25 W the yield in Flavor is remarkable. With the 0.8 ohm 18W coil you can get a tighter pull in the open MTL style.
