As with all VAPORESSO mods, you can expect top-notch build quality with the GEN 200. It’s a lightweight device that feels durable enough to withstand some accidental damage. The fire button, up and down buttons, and menu button are all conveniently located below the screen, along with the Type-C charging port.
The GEN 200 features a 0.96-inch TFT color screen that is both clear and vibrant. It’s not the smallest dual-18650 battery mod on the market, but it is quite compact for its battery capacity. Additionally, the centered 510 pin provides a nice symmetrical design, which is always a plus.
The included iTank fits seamlessly on the mod and appears to be tailor-made for it. With a mod width of 29 mm, you can expect most tanks to look great on the GEN 200, although a 30 mm tank might have a slight overhang. The battery door utilizes strong magnets to stay securely in place, and there’s a protective coating on the door to ensure longevity.

The VAPORESSO GEN 200 utilizes the same chipset as the TARGET 200, providing users with a variety of modes to choose from. Although there’s no temperature control on this mod, you’ll find familiar modes from VAPORESSO, such as Pulse mode, “F[t]” mode, and regular Wattage mode. In the menu, you can also access the DIY mode, which allows you to select between soft, normal, and hard preheat settings, as well as Voltage and Bypass modes.
While it doesn’t offer temperature control or Watt curve options, the GEN 200 does provide most of the features you’d expect in a modern vape mod. With its various power mode options, it caters to a wide range of vaping preferences.

Operating the VAPORESSO GEN 200 is quite straightforward, with its basic functions being identical to the TARGET 200:
- Click the fire button five times to turn it on/off.
- Click fire three times to lock the adjustment buttons.
- Use up or down to adjust wattage.
- Hold the menu button to cycle through the three power modes.
- Click the mode button three times to enter the menu.
Within the menu, you’ll find the three modes mentioned earlier, the DIY mode, and a Settings area for managing puffs, enabling or disabling smart mode, and resetting the mod to its default settings. The puff counter also displays a puff history by day over the last seven days. The screen shows wattage, a puff counter, battery meter, resistance, puff timer, and voltage output.
